Hello, February! Inky Hearts Tutorial

I love using stencils with alcohol inks, and this colorful heart project shows you why!

The key to using stencils is to make sure that whatever colors will mingle while wet, play well together. If you drip complimentary colors together, they will make "mud", becoming very dark, even black.

Complimentary Colors:

Blue - Orange

Purple - Yellow

Red - Green

Here's my process for creating with alcohol ink and stencils:

I'm working on Grafix Dura-Bright paper, which allows you to wipe off any ink and get back to white.

This is the stencil I used, but you can find many different styles by searching online for "Heart Stencil"
